Video stills from a sunset performance in a football field at La Lumiere in LaPorte, Indiana. Inside the black sack: looped recording of improvised violin and whistling recorded in an adjacent gymnasium, 30-foot string of brown folded paper birds, wooden folding chair, umbrella, and performer. Audience members were instructed to come in specific small groups down a hill and received additional cues (take a chair, sit on a lap, cover other people's ears, etc.) as the sun set and all the objects except the music and person disappeared from the sack. August 2005. Performance duration: 25 minutes.
