Words
Inspired by Buzz Spector's work, text is trapped between sheets of handmade paper. The Dogen pair was part of the first series; the single words part of the most recent series.

Dogen #2 (2004). Yarn, handmade cotton/esparto and abaca paper; 18 x 24".

The second part of a sentence translated from the Japanese of Zen Master Dogen.

Falling and Wander (2007). String, handmade Japanese kozo paper; 8.5 x 12".

Sanaras Manana (2007). Potato prints on handmade abaca paper; 12 x 12" each. A Mexican spell printed on one day, and re-printed the next day after the potato stamps had dried for 24 hours. Edition of two.
